INOX STEEL INDIA is a leading manufacturer and exporter of Spiral Welded Tubes, also known as HSAW (Helical Submerged Arc Welded) Pipes, engineered for large-diameter, high-strength applications where long-distance fluid transportation or heavy structural loading is required.
Produced using a helical forming and submerged arc welding process, Spiral Welded Tubes are the preferred solution for water transmission pipelines, oil & gas pipelines (API 5L), structural piling & foundation systems, marine & offshore tubulars, penstocks for hydropower projects, sewerage & industrial effluent lines, and casing pipes for construction & drilling.
With diameters ranging from 400 mm to 3000+ mm, INOX STEEL INDIA supplies spiral welded pipes for large infrastructure projects across India, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America, backed by ISO, EN 10204, and API 5L certification.
Spiral Welded Pipes are manufactured by forming a steel coil into a helical shape and welding the adjoining edges using submerged arc welding (internal + external) to produce a high-strength, long-length, large-diameter pipe.
Their helical welding structure allows for superior flexibility in diameter and thickness, making them ideal for large-diameter pipeline construction.
High-quality steel coils (IS 2062 / API 5L) are uncoiled, leveled, and edge-milled for perfect welding fit-up.
The coil is fed at a specific angle, creating a continuous helical seam—allowing production of any diameter independent of coil width.
The inside seam is welded with deep penetration to ensure weld strength equal to or greater than the pipe body.
The outside seam is welded to complete the full-penetration joint, providing exceptional structural integrity.
Pipes are tested under high pressure to verify safety for water and oil/gas transmission.
